I was born in Scotland but emigrated to South Africa in 1978 and lived there until mid 2011 when I moved to Antofagasta, Chile, to work as an English teacher and do some travelling in South America. I returned to the UK at the end of January 2014 with a view to settling and did some house sitting as a way for me to research different parts of the country without making a final commitment. I completed seven house sits, two with dogs, four with cats and one with no pets. However, I decided to move to Spain in April 2015 and lived and worked, on the Costa del Sol until the end of my teaching contract in June 2020. I returned to Scotland at the end of August 2020 and have been living in Perth. Last year, I looked after a cat near Inverness in September and 2 cats in a different suburb of Perth in November. The latter has become a regular position and I will do other sits there in May and July of this year.
I've been a wife, mother and pet owner and have plenty of experience in caring for a home and animals. I'm very clean, tidy and organised and would care for your home and pets as if they were mine. Although I am now retired, I work as a volunteer ESOL teacher two mornings per week. However, I am able to take time off with some notice. I would prefer to limit my house sitting to Scotland and I would be prepared to look after cats and/or one dog. Read more...
