More information about this house sitter

Hello, my name is Cristina and until recently, together with my husband Cristi and our little Jack, we lived in the beautiful Yorkshire area, a few miles east of York. Funny enough that move to Yorkshire started right here on this website in 2018. We went for a housesit which ended up becoming a full time job for Cristi and a part time job for me on a large private estate. After 3.5 years there, we felt the need for a change. At the moment we’re having some time off, travelling through Europe.* We back in UK now, from August ‘22 and doing a few housesits.
Regarding our skills and qualifications, I’m working with schools and universities in different capacities (teacher, tutor, invigilator, SEN specialist etc) but in the last few years I also acquired management skills and also a wealth of knowledge, through practice, in organic gardening. Cristi is an experienced estate manager with excellent DYI and carpentry skills -also one of the neatest furniture builders/ fitters I know. Between us we have a good set of theoretical and practical skills. We don’t smoke and we like to keep the house we live in clean and tidy at all times. Cristi is also very good with jobs around the house (painting, repairing, building /adjusting furniture etc) and you can rest assured, no more wonky cupboard doors on your return. In fact you won’t need to worry about anything while we’re around, as we take pride in being very responsible and caring.
We both love animals. I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was 5 years old so I’m very fond of all animals in general. Cristi has some experience in caring for horses from the time he was in the army. In the last 3.5 years we took care of chickens on a daily basis.
Ideally, we’d like to find places to housesit where our little well behaved dog would be welcomed and the pets there aren't aggressive, as he's a bit anxious.
I also have an Enhanced DBS certificate, available to check online and I can offer references on request.
Thank you for reading!
