Hi,
Both my husband and I are retired and for the last few years we have been dividing our time between the UK, and during the summer months, our home in France where we ran a successful Bed and Breakfast. Our thoughts have now turned towards living in the UK permanently and we are seeking new adventures. We love the UK and there is still so much more for us to see, so house / pet sitting will give us the opportunity to explore areas that we don't necessarily know.
I worked as a nurse for nearly thirty years and my husband was in the Royal Navy for twenty seven years. My interests include history, cooking, needlework, crafts and reading and my husband loves nothing more than fixing up houses and pottering in the garden. We both love the country side, travel, visiting new places and being members of the National Trust.
For the last fifteen years we have had two dogs, Poppy a German Shepherd and Tess a Black Labrador however, sadly over the last year we have lost them both. At the moment we are not in a position to be able to have any more so looking after other people's animals is the next best thing.
For the last few years we have regularly house and pet sat for friends. Our duties have included looking after a household of seven Huskies and over the years we have looked after chickens, Vietnamese Pot Bellied pigs, cats, donkeys and horses and if wanted, we can provide glowing references.
We loved our dogs and our home is our haven so we understand how important it is for people to feel secure in the knowledge that their beloved pets and home are being well looked after and cared for.
We look forward to the next chapter in our lives and being able to help you leave your home and pets in safe and capable hands. Read more...
