Experienced animal loving sitters, reliable, non-smoking, professional couple with own car, available for long and short term.

Mike and I have been sitting since 2009 in New Zealand, looking after over 100 fur-babies and other pets.

We have now in European adventure and have been booked for sitting from July 2016 to April 2017 (Spain/France). Our plan to to spend our last 6 months in the UK/Ireland before returning to NZ in Nov 2017.

We run a successful business (financially independent) and are extremely fortunate to be able to work remotely, this means we are around to play, walk, cuddle your pet as well as look after your home.

Both of us grew up in London and then emigrated (in 2000) with our three young daughters to New Zealand, the girls are now all grown and left home, and now we are ready for our next adventure for the next couple of years.

We are non-smokers and enjoy walking, tennis (watching and playing), swimming, watching Rugby (All Blacks of course).

I love researching family history and jigsaw puzzles. Mike can often be found with his nose in a book (generally Sci Fi and Fantasy) and a cat on his lap.

We both love music, Mike used to play the Tuba and our taste in music is varied - Opera, Classical, Rock/Metal, 1980's Pop (days of our youth). I really enjoy Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and Musical Theatre.

We have lots of experience with elderly, special needs and some socially inappropriate pets. Many we have looked after on multiple occasions.

Being called back to sit again is the best reference and compliment we can have.

We want our owners to experience ultimate peace of mind and we are great at keeping in touch, sending regular emails and texts, photos and updates.

In the past we have looked after:

• Dame Lola 2 weeks in Oct 2016 Valencia Spain while her parents had a couple of weeks holiday in Southern Spain. She loved day trips and going out in the car, we would often be out for 4 or 5 hours walking stopping off for lunch. Lola loved paella!

• Larry 2 months over summer 2016 in Almeria Spain, we went on such lovely walks along the beach. He got much better in the car and even started eating dog food :)
Larry even joined us and entertained the other students at our weekly Spanish class.

• Jin-ji, Lexie and Popsie, our first sit in Spain in the Cordoba region looking after 3 very lovely tri-lingual cats. We will be minding them again over winter Dec 2016 - Jan 2017

• Baxter a (very large) disabled doberman and his 6 feline friends for nine weeks while their parents traveled the North Island of NZ.

• Staffie's - Peenut (deaf & mostly blind, he also had a nerve condition a bit like human Parkinsons....poor old fella) his sister BabyPooh needed insulin injections. Numerous sits, including a month while their parents returned to South Africa to visit family.

• Olive (Rescue pup) - baby sister of above Peenut and Pooh.

• Tiffany the 3 legged very grumpy and unpredictable cat....who after 4 weeks I (Tammy) was able to pick her up and cuddle her. Her family were away for 5 weeks returning to the UK to visit family.

• Terry (Jack Russell/Shitzu pup) over Xmas and NY (2015/16) while his Mum was holidaying in Australia.

• Meg (Spaniel), Millie and Mimi (Cats) for over a month well their family were in the UK visiting family.

• Rocky and Sasha (Rescued Greyhounds) a number of sits over 3 years.

• Willow and Charmelle (Golden Retrievers Mum and Son). We have looked after them on about 7 occasions including when their family returned to the UK/France to visit family.

• Lily, Daisy, Oscar and Oliver (All rescue cats), we have minded them about 10 times since 2011 from a few days to a number of weeks when their parents visited family in the UK for a month.

• Simba and Paddy (Cats) and the Chooks, 3 sits for these cuties including when their parents traveled to USA to visit family.

• Pepper the puppy, he family had a short break. Pepper was to young to travel at that time.

• Missy and Jed - Pup (Border Collies) a couple of sits for a month each time when their parents traveled to the UK to visit family.

• Shay (11 yr old black lab), 3 chooks and 2 guinea pigs. Took care of these guys while their mum and 3 sisters had a much deserved holiday.

• Baillie and Mocha Corgi pups, their parents traveled to the USA to visit family.

• Carl (stray, who has taken up residence). Ongoing sit from Dec 2015 through to June 2016 when we leave for Europe.

A few others Basil, Boy, Mighty, Smokey, Jasmine, Maple, Clawdia, Eddie, Poppy, Sparkle, Flopsie, Cinnamon, Pepsi, Smokey and schools of fish. Read more...
