Hello, we are Wendy and Mark. We are a New Zealand couple in our early 50's, and are currently touring the UK and Europe for an extended period. We have UK Ancestry Visas allowing us to legally stay and work in the UK for up to five years.
We enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new experiences, which is why we are now staying in the UK.
We are non-smokers, fit and healthy, and enjoy the great outdoors. Mark is a keen cyclist, competing in many local New Zealand events.
Back in New Zealand we worked until March this year, and have been in the UK since April. Wendy was an estate agent for 24 years, and Mark was involved with inventory and logistics.
Wendy has had 14 years experience as a St. John Ambulance volunteer, along with 8 years Victim Support, and was a coordinator for the Crime Camera at our local police station.
Mark was involved as a volunteer with the police cameras, and also a Red Cross collector.
We are both professional people, setting high standards and goals for ourselves. Over the years we have been both home owners and landlords. We currently have two rental properties in New Zealand. We are house-proud, and Mark is a keen gardener who loves to keep a good vegetable garden and tidy flower beds. He also has good skills in DIY.
Mark was brought up on a farm, and has had experience with animals, from cows, horses, sheep, cattle, and of course cats and dogs. Over our life, we have had an array of family pets, from dogs (Joy and Picton), cats (Bounce, Arnie, and Mia), a piglet (Piggy-Sue), goldfish, hens, and even rabbits.
Since being in the UK, we have had experience in housesitting. During this time we have done jobs including preparing walls and trim for painting, interior house painting, and gardening.
We have our own insured car.
