UPDATE June 2020
We have remained in the UK since February. During the lockdown period we have lived in a town in north Cornwall, while adhering to social distancing guidelines at all times. As restrictions slowly ease, we have begun planning to resume house-sitting within the UK through the remainder of 2020.

We are a semi-retired professional couple from Auckland, New Zealand. We have embarked on an extended period in the U.K., Ireland and Europe, since October 2019.

Our travel is primarily to spend time with two of our daughters, one living in Dublin, the other in Amsterdam and our two grandchildren. Between us, we have raised six children – all are now independent adults.

We are keen walkers and we have good gardening experience. We are both non-smokers, fit, healthy, responsible and reliable. We are available to manage your home, your pets, your garden, and any accommodation business on your behalf while you are away.

Travelling as we are, from the southern hemisphere, we would love to have a lived experience of being in the UK, Ireland and Europe. We see house sitting as an ideal way to feel part of a place as well as being able to contribute in some way, either by caring for your animals, minding your home and/or tending your garden.

Geraldine was born in the UK and left as a two-year old; Andrew lived in the UK as a young adult. We are both less inclined to be tourists, more interested in day to day life in general while travelling.

We understand the importance of routine for family pets and are well able to implement the usual routines and care of your animals as needed. Over the years our families have both included cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, goldfish as well as a pony. We know from experience how dearly loved pets are. We hope to be able to offer your pets as much care and attention as they need in your absence.

In addition to our daughters, we have extended family living in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Between staying with family we are keen to spend time getting to know other localities and see house sitting as an ideal way to do this. Read more...
