We're Alex (Sasha) and Ella, a married couple in our mid-thirties. We live on the Welsh border (Hay-on-Wye) where Ella works with horses and is a copy-writer and Alex helps at a local organic grower and works as an online tutor and in web development.

We're in the process of settling in Wales (Ella's homeland) after living in the Slovenian Alps for 5 years. We are about to move to Llanwrtyd Wells (good luck saying that if you're not Welsh!) where we've bought a small place. We both love working outdoors and are pretty good in the garden. Alex is especially interested in permaculture methods and building and Ella loves growing but also wants to learn more about keeping animals: dairy production, bee-keeping, poultry, animal husbandry, etc. She's been working as a tour guide for riding holidays in Wales so is good with horses and always keen to learn more - especially about natural horsemanship. She's learning Welsh (but is right at the beginning!) and is also interested in herbs, herbal medicine, fermenting and nutrition. Alex speaks Russian (born in Russia) and a bit of French (grew up in Canada). He's handy and and technical-minded too and loves cold-water swimming.

We're considerate and quiet, non-smoking and only Ella occasionally socially drinks! We both love all animals, especially cats and dogs with Ella having lots of experience with horses also. We like to keep our living space tidy and clean.

We've used HelpX to travel and exchange with people before successfully and have positive reviews on there, but we're just venturing into the world of house-sitting. We love to explore new places, especially the countryside, the sea and ancient and historical sites.
