I am 63 years of age. I was born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, and have a valid British Passport and full English driving licence. My Father was born in Portsmouth and joined the RAF in Rhodesia which is how I came to be born there. In my twenties I owned and managed my own Beauty Salon in Johannesburg, for sixteen years. I then went to join my parents on their small game farm of 200 hectares, to help them grow organic vegetables for the local markets and to look after the wild game. My Mother was a professional orchid grower and I assisted her with many aspects of this undertaking. I have also owned my own take away restaurant in George, Western Cape serving fish and chips, curries, breakfasts, burghers etc. to the local workers. For the past 20 years I have been a live-in carer for the elderly dealing with everything regarding taking care of a household, pets as well as the clients themselves.
I love nature, gardens, all animals, walking, cycling, cooking, reading, art, theatre and all subjects relating to personal development and health.
I am a fit and active person. I have been told I have a "sunny disposition" and do see the world through a half full glass rather than half empty. I enjoy my own company and have no problem entertaining myself but I also love to meet new people and converse with them.
I have done a lot of housesitting, for my friends with pets, and can provide references. I have an up to date DBS which can be accessed and checked online. I am available to do sits from the beginning of April 2021. Read more...
