More information about this house sitter

I am a 38-year-old electrician by trade with 20 years of work experience. My fiance, Liz, is 33 year old teacher and has a background in childcare.

We are both vegetarians, non-drinkers and non-smokers and we enjoy tidiness and organization. Our interests are music, hiking, yoga, and animals. We both grew up with family pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, fish and budgies.

Due to the pandemic our plans for the next year are on hold so we have found ourselves in between jobs and homes for the next 12 months and would love to use that time to help people take care of their cherished homes and pets.

In our spare time Liz is working on writing a memoir and I am studying photography.

I own a flat in Glasgow, which I have recently rented out to tenants and rather than ask them to move out we decided to spend some time living with family. As a home owner and landlord I understand the importance of taking good care of and maintaining property.

We have currently been living with my dad in Dundee and have been carrying out home repairs and preparing his house for selling which is now complete, so we are in a great position right now to be flexible house sitters and take good care of any property.

Our most recent experience living and caring for other people's homes is from when we spent a year in New Zealand. This included helping with child-minding, chores and home repairs. The families we helped out there would be more than happy to provide references and we could easily obtain character references from colleagues or friends if required.

I would be more than happy to bring some tools to carry out any minor repairs or DIY needing done as well as all of the other duties requested. Read more...
