Very caring, respectable, active, health conscious and widely travelled couple with many years of experience in raising our families. We both have responsible positions within our career roles (Eric - senior position, full-time with the Local Authority and Alison part-time with a local residential school) We have been together for 24 years and we are homeowners.
As we are getting closer to retirement, we are very keen to keep active and we also enjoy travelling to new destinations, experiencing different cultures and meeting local people. Housesitting appeals to us as it offers the opportunity to combine the interests that we enjoy and to keep us stimulated by giving us tasks/responsibilities which we would also enjoy.
We are both highly respected by our families, friends and work colleagues and are renowned for our trustworthiness and commitment to our families and our work. Throughout our working lives we have held positions where a high degree of care and commitment are necessary requirements. (In recognition of his services to the local business community Eric had the honour of being one of only eight individuals in the UK to receive a prestigious national lifetime award during 2014 - the Queens Award for Enterprise Promotion, granted by HM The Queen and the Prime Minister and attended a presentation ceremony at Westminster followed by a reception at Buckingham Palace where he met with HM The Queen, Prince Philip and other members of the royal family,)
We have a respectable, clean living lifestyle and are non-smokers. Although we do not have pets due to work commitments, we have cared for family pets often in the past. Our main interests are gardening, cooking, eating out and spending time with our families. We both enjoy good health and enjoy the outdoors - long distance walking, running, and cycling. We have also enjoyed caravanning for many years and have a touring caravan which we use at various times throughout the year.
We have minded our own parents homes often over the years and now occasionally do the same for our 4 daughters who all have their own homes and some with pets also which have needed looking after for various periods,
