Dear Homeowners,

My name is Ursula, and I am the globe-trotting house-sitter! I am 29 years old, and currently live in rural Dorset with my parents. I have extensive experience caring for the residences of former clients and friends around the UK, and am currently also registered on a casual basis with a pet-sitting organization known as Cat in a Flat. I have a full driving licence and own a car, and access to rail networks is relatively easy for me, so I can very easily travel to other parts of the country if I am required to, taking into account potential issues arising from the current Covid-19 pandemic.

From my childhood until now, I have been incredibly lucky to have cared for four cats, one rabbit, many guinea pigs, and currently a 13 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Rolo. I've grown up loving and caring for pets, to the point that I cannot imagine any kind of life without them. Housesitting opportunities which come with the additional responsibility of pet care don't phase me. I'm proficient in following careful diet schedules, administering basic medication (injections and tablets), and love spending time getting to know new furry pals.

Beyond my experience as a house and pet sitter, I'm also a postgraduate university student, and have completed a undergraduate degree in American Studies and History Combined in Canterbury (with a study year abroad in Canada), and a Master's degree in Archaeology in the Netherlands. I also travelled in New Zealand as a student, and although my things didn't turn out as I'd hoped, I absolutely loved the experience of living and working there.

I enjoy reading historical novels and biographies, and I love going to the cinema to watch films on social history and sci-fi/super heroes. I have grown up loving being in a rural environment, and although I enjoy being in towns and cities, the ability to walk on a beach or through a semi-muddy field really fills me with a sense of peace.
