Hi to everyone including the furry ones! My name is Jan(Janice)Living in the UK for almost 9 years. I have both American & Swedish citizenships & have Indefinite Leave to Remain Settlement Status in the UK.

Being with animals especially in nature and travelling to different places in the UK and abroad are my grand passions. I am also an English history buff. Originally from Silicon Valley, Northern California. Lived 16 years in Europe (Sweden and the UK) and have travelled extensively over the years. I have had the privilege of being adopted by cats and dogs(not the other way around:-)) my entire life, while growing up and as an adult. I have also lived in the UK as a child while Dad worked in various projects here.

I would love to care for your beloved furry ones & to look after your home. I currently don't have any pets myself so I take every opportunity to care for other people's pets!

Being an intrepid traveller myself, I understand what it's like to leave your beloved fur babies at home. They definitely prefer staying in their home environment with a loving sitter to play & care for them. I am currently self employed & can do work from home on most days, making it an ideal situation to look after your pets and property. I am also writing a book and so being a pet and house sitter would definitely suit my current lifestyle. I am a neat, tidy, considerate, compassionate person who is highly responsible (I used to be CEO of a Swedish tech company I cofounded in Lund Sweden) Responsibility and reliability are key aspects of my character.

My photos really don't reflect my true age. I am fast approaching 60 years of age in May 2021 yet others think I am much younger. Please don't be fooled by my photos, I am actually older and more mature than my appearance depicts.

I am willing and able to travel anywhere in the UK for prolonged periods of time, since that would enable me to experience living in different parts of the UK for a moment in time. My work allows me the freedom to do that given that I only need internet connectivity to do my work which is mostly online research and writing ebooks.

I have had dogs & cats all my life. On many occasions through the years, I have house sat for friends and Airbnb hosts with cats and dogs while they were away. Caring for fur babies in different environments would be a great way to help pets who may miss their beloved family while they are travelling yet be in familiar surroundings in the safety of their homes.

Back in California, I had to give meds to my 17-year-old cat & also cared for another fur baby who was recuperating from cancer in her poor little paw:-(. I truly believe that animals are there to help us be better people and in return, we need to give them the best care and love possible.
