Dear all
I am a mature, responsible Finnish woman from Tuusula, Southern Finland. My home is my safe haven but at times, it’s good to get to someplace new. I have neither partner nor children and I’m used to travel alone. I have a background of living on a farm and I am used to take care of the house and animals.
I love pets, but because of my active and mobile life style, just now, I don’t have any pets. I’m curious and love to go to new places and meet new people.
I have long experience with house maintenance. In my childhood family we had a dog, a boxer, tortoise, canaries, and I had 2 cats of my own. On our farm with my ex-husband, we had sheep, geese, and ducks. I used to assist ewes lambing, and bottle fed those the ewe rejected.
Since 2011 I've done many pet and house sittings with cats and dogs in Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and once in Bath, Somerset.
One of my pet sittings was on a farm, on the island La Gomera, Canary Islands, Spain, four weeks at Christmas 2015. I had a whole bunch of animals to look after and to take care of: two donkeys, two dogs, five cats, one bunny, chickens and gold fish.
My latest petsitting was in Sweden, near Uppsala, where I spent three weeks with Chloe the border terrier at Christmas and New Year 2016/17.
All my pet sitting experiences have been great fun and I was able to develop good communication with all the animals, even with the chickens, maybe less with goldfish though.
I haven't got any written references but any of my previous pet owners can give references direct to you if you'd wish.
