About this house sitting position in Bideford

We have a lovely big house and Charlie the cat, Sonny the dachshund, and Lola the budgie.

Charlie is super easy, a little skittish and aloof but then a real lap cat when he thinks you're looking the other way.

Sonny is lots of fun and games and very snuggly. He isn't supposed to walk for more than 30-60 mins a day because of taking care of his spine, so even the walking of him isn't too much effort! We're anticipating him being a bit clingy and sad due to us all usually being around a lot. So need people who 'get' dogs and can be around a lot and know how to give lots of love and cuddles, but also be confident telling him to shush and not push his boundaries!

Lola is very straightforward to care for but is a little lonely since her partner died so needs a bit of regular talking to!

We're surrounded by beaches and Devony things to do, so anticipate you being able to have a lovely restful break. If you're looking to work remotely, we have good internet and plenty of space to work in. You aren't ideally placed for being car-free here though, the rail station is a 30 minute bus ride away. Local buses are ok but not too frequent and there's not many places for dog walking that don't need transport - Sonny isn't the bravest street walker!

We would be back late afternoon-ish on the 30th, if you needed to leave earlier then my mum would come and look in on the dog.
