Blackmore End, East of England

About this house sitting position in Blackmore End

We live in a 2 bedroom, thatched cottage which is circa 1700. Our village is called Blackmore End and has around 70 houses. You would need to be able to drive to stay here,there is one bus a week which takes you to the nearest town, but you can only stay in town for 2 hours as the bus returns after that time! The nearest small shop is 7 mins in the car. The nearest town about 10 mins in the car. There is a wonderful pub a 2 min walk from the cottage,which serves delicious food. This part of Essex is very pretty with a host of small villages dotted around. Finchiingfield is about 10 mins in the car and is a very popular tourist location. We are about half an hours drive from villages in Suffolk,which is also very pretty with lots to do. We have many walks here for the dogs, we keep them on the lead until we get into a field, which isn't very long. They are very good at coming back to us when called. They have very poor road sense as they don't often meet with a car, they would just run out into the road unless on a lead. But as I say they are mainly off the lead in a field. The walks here are marked as public footpaths, but we would be able to write them down. We often got a little lost when we first came here, which was fun discovering new walks.
