About this house sitting position in Brampton

Do you love spaniels? Do you like peace and quiet in the countryside? Then this Georgian period house in Cumbria is for you! Hi, my name is Karen, and my husband is Geraint. I work from home making various craft items and my husband works overseas. It's just the two of us, and the dogs of course! I appreciate that 5 dogs may seem daunting to some people, but they are a happy bunch of pups, but as Gladys and Mabel will be only 6 months old in March, you will need to be used to dealing with puppies. Each of them has their own character and quirks, but they love the company of people and they like their home comforts and routines so I don't like having to put them in kennels. Up until June of last year we lived in Devon and a lovely lady used to house sit for us. She sat for us on numerousl occasions, including a 2 week period, and she always said that they were no trouble at all. Two of our dogs require medication, once a day. There is a well established routine for this and it runs smoothly.
Our house is a large, comfortable, period house in lovely countryside. Situated 10 minutes drive from the market town of Brampton where you will find all of the facilities you could need. We are surrounded by open countryside with no immediate neighbours, so it's all about peace and quiet. However, the nearest neighbours are only a two mins walk away and they are all very friendly. We will leave you contact details for some friends and neighbours for you to contact should you need any help or advice. There is a local pub and a community shop and cafe nearby in Hallbankgate. The kitchen is well equipped as we are keen cooks. The house has good WiFi, Sky tv, central heating and a wood burner in the living room. There are two bathrooms. A large garden for you to enjoy, with apples and plums at the right time of year. The guest bedroom is a large, dual aspect room with a very comfortable king size bed. If you are a keen walker there are fells nearby, Hadrian's wall, Talkin Tarn and Miltonrigg Woods. There is a resident herd of deer nearby and I often see them in the fields adjoining our house. The city of Carlisle is a half hour drive away should you fancy a day out shopping and looking around the historic castle.
Millie and Monty are on daily medication which is given once a day, in the morning. For the rest of the time there is always a bowl of dry food down and they just help themselves. The morning routine of giving meds and food is fairly straightforward and this routine has been running smoothly for years and it works, so it shouldn't present any problems to you. Depending on the time of year there may be some watering to do in the garden, but it's a lovely big garden for you to enjoy.
