About this house sitting position in Burley in Wharfedale/ Ilkley
We are looking for someone to care for our 2 year old cockapoo and two house cats while we visit family in Canada.
Burley in Wharfedale is a village with a few pubs and cafes and 5 minutes drive from Otley or Ilkley which both have lots of amenities. There is a train station with 15 min journey to Leeds.
If you like walking and countryside we are well placed to walk from the doorstep to Burley Moor and Ilkley Moor, famous Cow and Calf rocks are 3km from the door. It's a 15 min walk down to the River Wharfe stepping stones, cross over and a nice walk to a country pub.
Wensley the dog needs two walks a day or else to join you for longer on a day out or longer walk. He travels well by car and is a good in pubs and cafes. He can be left alone during the day for up to 5 hours provided he has a good walk in the morning. He loves cuddles in the evening!
The cats are low maintenance and one needs letting in and out but he doesn't go far. They love your company but aren't ones for sitting on laps.
Our house is a large 3 bed terrace with average size low maintenance yard where you can dine outdoors. We have a modern kitchen, lots of cooking equipment and bathroom with tub/shower. Tv, high speed internet is perfect if you need to work we have an office in the third bedroom. Netflix, board games and lots of cookbooks to keep you entertained. Read more...
