We’re looking for someone to look after our 2 German Shepherds between 27 July and 17 August 2019 but we have some flexibility about the dates. We have a boy and a girl who will both be 3 years old by the time we go away. Both are real characters and absolutely love people but unfortunately the boy currently has some anxiety around other dogs – we’re continuing to work on that with the breeder/trainer so hopefully it will improve. However to make things easier we will rent a field for an hour a day for the duration of your stay so that they can be exercised without other dogs - he will happily chase the ball for the entire hour. We also have 6 chickens but in return for food and water you get as many eggs as you can eat!

We live in a village in Hampshire, in a 4 bed house with a large private garden and swimming pool. The village is in the heart of the Test Valley with a nice pub and a great village shop. We’re 8 miles from Winchester and 6 miles from Andover for bigger shops when required. The dogs are used to having someone around during the day but are happy to be left for 5/6 hours if you’re going out.

We realize GSDs can be an intimidating breed so ideally we would like you to meet the dogs before taking on the task. Read more...
