About this house sitting position in Chorley
Hi! I'm looking for someone to look after my two 7 year old cats , Merry and Pippin, while I'm away. I have 3 trips planned in July and August, each for a week.
I’m a retired headteacher of an infant nursery school and since retiring I’ve been a Housesitter myself with a different website. Now my sons have left home, I need a Housesitter myself when I go away and it’s getting harder to find one on the other site I use!
I live in a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, extended detached house with a self contained upstairs flat. It's in a semi rural location, in a village between Chorley and Blackburn. It is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac and it has a double drive for safe off street parking. It has beautiful views over the West Pennine Moors and there are lots of lovely walks directly from the house. Although there are buses into Chorley and Blackburn, a car is a definite advantage if you want to explore the wider area.
Merry and Pippin are easy to look after. They come and go freely through a cat flap so there are no litter trays to deal with. Pippin in particular likes company, although it usually takes her a while to be confident enough to sit on your knee.
On this occasion I can only accommodate a solo sitter as one of the guest rooms is being used by my son and his girlfriend (who will be travelling with me). One of the available guest rooms only has a small double (4') bed and the other a single.
