About this house sitting position in Wellington

We have a 3-bedroom detached house, non smoking, with a large garden which joins my Mum's garden (through a gap in the hedge!) We don't have pets, so the main duty is to house sit while we are away, and to do a bit of shopping for Mum (she lives independently in her own bungalow, just needs reassurance that someone is close by).

Wellington is a small market town, really well located for site-seeing in the South West. Somerset has so much to offer and we are only a couple miles from J26 on the M5 and the Devon border. You can get to some great places in Cornwall for the day if you have a car or by train, eg the Eden Project is less than 1.5 hours away. The County Town Taunton is 7 miles away and has excellent train links. Exeter is about 30 mins away. Lots of lovely walks in the countryside within minutes of the house. Winters are mild as we are not far from the coast.

Our house is very comfortable and in a quiet road with lovely neighbours. Wifi, gas central heating, new kitchen, 2 bathrooms, office space if needed.

We had lovely sitters in January 2018 but no longer able to do house sitting.

We prefer a mature couple or an older woman since my Mum would be nervous of a guy on his own - sorry about that. Read more...
