About this house sitting position in Woolpit

We have a 4 bedroom house just on the outskirts of Woolpit. Our home is attached to a residential recording studio so it's a large property with beautiful gardens and a pond. We are looking for someone mainly to look after our beloved little Hendrix who is an 11 year old chihuahua mix. Hendrix just loves human company. He shadows me everywhere and will often sit on my lap, beside me or somewhere within sight. He doesn't really like to be alone so if I'm not in the house, he'll follow someone else! He's ok to be left for a couple of hours on his own but ideally not much longer than that.
Due to many operations on his teeth (which have now all been removed) he has developed some anxiety. He often gets spooked by loud noises (eg. the banging of pots and pans while we cook dinner) so will start shaking and he is now quite afraid to go in the car because of the various noises. There are some lovely walks within a few minutes drive from our house so he should be ok in the car for those, just not longer journeys.
Other than this anxiety he is generally very easy and relaxed. Due to his small size, he often barks at new people or dogs to protect himself, but calms pretty quickly. Once someone has earnt his trust, he is very loving and affectionate towards them.

Hendrix has medication that he needs to take several times a day but that's usually quite simple to administer.

We will have a 6-year-old Yorkie-poo rescue (Mimi) come to join our family at the end of May so she will also be here. We haven't met her yet but according to her fosterers, she is very friendly with humans and dogs and a happy/easy dog all round.

We also have 4 chickens who we'd love you to keep an eye on. They're very relaxed and easy to look after so no prior experience with chickens is fine! Their coop and run just needs mucking out once a day and their food kept topped up.

Other than that, we would just like the house to stay occupied while we are away and for you to enjoy the lovely walks nearby with Hendrix and Mimi.

Reviews for Sally

5 stars stars
“Everything in my house-sit experience for Sally and Rupe has been simply great. They are such nice people who timely provided me comprehensive information about the place and the animals, so I had a good understanding of it all even before arriving. Their place is well organised and speaks abouts about their pragmatism and attention to details. As for Hendrix, he is adorable and sooo smart! If given a lot of love and care, he will quickly get used to someone new and repay them with lots of cuddles and loveliness. He understands so many things and is so expressive, he has so many facial expressions! He slept in my room and he was quiet and relaxed in his own bed. The chickens were also easy-maintenance and rewarded my care with tasty eggs. I truly recommend Sally's and Rupe's place, there are so many other great things about it! - Read more
