About this house sitting position in Axbridge
This is a grade 11 listed barn conversion originally built circa 1850 it now provides very spacious accommodation. Set in the rural hamlet of Christon on the edge of the mendip hills. House sitters will have our very spacious guest room with its own shower room although there is use of a bath if preferred. The house is set in 10 acres of paddocks and orchard. Its an ideal location to tour the mendip hills, Wells (30 min) Glastonbury (25 min) with Bristol and Bath both under an hour away.
Directly from the village are numerous good walks and access to the west Mendip Way.
We have our dog Floyd a bearded collie, A cat Ginge and three chickens. We also have horses but someone will visit separately to look after them. Although anyone with knowledge of horses would always be advantageous to keep an extra eye out!
We always allow a night together before we leave to give a proper handover of the house and animals (the dates above include this) Floyd is the easiest dog a walk a day will keep him entertained, otherwise he will stay around the grounds. He can be left quite happily for a few hours to allow visits to the sites of the area. Ginge is a typical cat when he's out he want to be in and when he's in he wants to be out! The chicken will just require food and water and To be let out each morning and locked away at dusk and of course you may get some eggs as well!
