About this house sitting position in Bristol

Hello. We are looking for a sitter (or sitters) to look after our three doodles - Daisy is an active 12 year old small/medium sized Australian labradoodle, Candy is a 7 year old standard poodle and Loki is her 4 year old Golden doodle son. They are all very easy going and are happy to chill once they’ve had a walk and been fed. They normally have two walks, one in the morning and afternoon although Daisy will often only go out in the morning these days.

We live in a detached house in Nailsea, about 10 miles south west of Bristol city centre. The guest bedroom has a king size bed and there is also a separate bedroom with a single bed and cot if needed. The doodles sleep in our bedroom in their dog beds. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances including a Ninja Airfryer and Tassimo coffee machine which are both well used! There is a small breakfast bar in the kitchen and a separate dining room which has French doors to a deck and the garden. The living room is a reasonable size although the doodles tend to hog the sofas if you don’t get there first. There are large patio doors that also lead out to the deck and garden. The outdoor space is quite private when the trees are in leaf and has plenty of seating to enjoy the good weather. We have Netflix, Disney, Apple, Amazon Prime and Virgin movies and sports channels so plenty of entertainment options!

There are plenty of shops and eateries in the town centre which is a 10/15 minute walk away as well as a variety of local pubs. There is a small convenience store near the 13th century church just up the road as well as a sports ground and fields to walk around. The closest pub, The Ring o Bells, is just along from the church.

The main food shops are Waitrose, Tesco and Iceland with Aldi and Lidl being close in the next town of Clevedon which is a 10 minute drive away. Nailsea has the usual high street names such as Boots, Superdrug, WHSmith, Costa, Greggs, The Factory Shop and plenty of charity shops to find unusual items at a good price.

We’re close to the coastal towns of Clevedon, Portishead and Weston super Mare, the latter is about a 10 minute train journey from the Nailsea & Backwell railway station. It takes about the same time to travel to Bristol Temple Meads and direct trains can take you to Bath and even London as well as south to Exeter. However, we wouldn’t leave the doodles on their own for more than 4 hours.

I’ve put the dates down as 13-22 Sept in case people were travelling but we fly from Bristol airport on Sunday 14 Sept at 14:15 so would aim to leave here about 10am and come back Sunday 21 night landing at 12:45am Monday morning. So a sitter could leave Sunday night as the doodles would be fine until we get back in the early hours.
