About this house sitting position in Cambridge

We have a detached home with garden and off street parking in the small village of Landbeach, just north of Cambridge. We are looking for house sitters for 2 weeks in July to look after our young dog and cat while we are on holiday. There are scarce amenities in the village, so it would be very useful for sitters to have their own transport (if not, we have bikes that we can loan). We have a family home which I would describe as comfortable but not fancy! We have plenty of home comforts (good wifi, Smart TV for streaming, Sage coffee machine, secluded garden with gas BBQ, plus home gym equipment if that's your thing) and beautiful views across fields.

Our dog, Maple, is a young Hungarian Vizsla so we are looking for sitters with plenty of experience and confidence with medium or large dogs. It would be amazing (but not essential) if you already have some experience of the breed. She is used to one walk a day of at least an hour, plus some games in the garden. She is otherwise easy but being a Vizsla, loves company and a lot of cuddles! That said, she is crate trained and is happy to be left in her crate for 3-4 hours.

Because we work from home, Maple is used to plenty of company, so we have found that this sit works much better for a couple than a single person.

We also have a lovely Russian Blue cat Georgia who has a good routine and is fairly independent. She needs feeding twice a day plus some medication which we can explain. We don't have a cat flap, so she needs occasionally letting in or out (we bring her in every night) and cat litter changing. Other than that, she'll be asleep or miaowing for her next meal!

We'd love sitters to make themselves at home and treat it as your own. We are very close to Cambridge, but there is also plenty of beautiful local countryside to explore and we aren't too far from Suffolk and Norfolk borders.
