My home is a cosy, well-kept cottage in the village of Chilham, Kent. It’s a quiet, characterful place with all the essentials for comfortable day-to-day living, including reliable internet, heating, and space to settle in properly rather than feeling like a short stay. The village itself is very walkable and peaceful, ideal if you enjoy a slower pace and spending time at home.

I’m looking for someone to live in the house while I’m away for work. The initial period is February through April, but there is a strong possibility the sit could extend beyond three months, potentially longer. I’m ideally looking for someone who would enjoy a longer-term arrangement rather than a fixed short stay.

The main responsibility is caring for my three cats, Wonky, Mango, and Fatty. They are friendly and used to a calm home environment. One or more of them has a medication routine, so it’s important that you’re comfortable administering medication and sticking to consistent feeding and care schedules.

While grocery deliveries are available and the village itself is walkable for basics, public transport is limited. Having a car makes life significantly easier, especially for flexibility, errands further afield, or anything unexpected. This is why access to a car is strongly preferred.
