About this house sitting position in Holmesfield

Our home is a traditional stone-built house in a village on the edge of the glorious Peak District in Derbyshire, and we are looking for a sitter or sitters to keep it and our two cats company in our absence. The village has a pub and a cricket pitch and is only 2.5 miles away from the nearest shops in Dronfield. We are very close to Chesterfield and Bakewell and it is only a mere 10 minutes drive to the outskirts of Sheffield. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all just a short drive away, and literally 5 minutes up the road are the moors and gritstone edges if you like to go hiking. Located in the centre of the village, the house is down a secluded drive and is surrounded by garden and trees which encourage a great variety of birds.
Our usual pet sitter is off to university in September, and we would love to find someone or a couple who can enjoy this interesting area and keep an eye on things for us.
Our two cats are Dolly and Ted, both of whom are great mates and very easily pleased. Dolly is a little shy at first but soon makes friends and Ted will take any amount of attention and fuss. Read more...
