About this house sitting position in Ipswich

We live in a lovely part of Suffolk near the Dedham Vale, with the historic market town of Hadleigh a five minute drive away. It is a roomy and light filled detached house with a large garden, mainly laid to lawn, but we are gradually adding new borders and trees. We have a small old orchard that we are planning to add to. There is a large suntrap patio garden with comfortable sitting and dining areas.

Our collie, Polly, loves to meet people and adores a tummy rub - she is quite a cuddly dog. She can be exuberant when she first meets people, and is reactive with other dogs, so she needs someone calm and confident. She has her own garden and patio area which is secure, and is happy relaxing out there in decent weather. The rest of the garden isn't secure, as the hedge isn't dense enough, but there are two driveway gates that can be shut once home if preferred. The garden adjoins a fast road, so Polly needs to be on the lead when walked in the larger garden. There are mature oak trees, sweet chestnut trees, the orchard and some native hedging which is beautiful in April/May.

There are some lovely rural walks nearby - an abundance of foot paths - and also some beautiful villages nearby to visit. Hadleigh itself has an abundance of listed buildings, some great coffee shops, pubs, independent shops and there are more extensive facilities in Ipswich, Colchester and Sudbury which are all within easy reach by car.

Our house is well equipped with a large kitchen, dishwasher, coffee makers, microwave, a large double bedroom with nice countryside views, a choice of bathroom and shower room, a large suntrap garden and a large garden with a choice of space for a caravan or motorhome. There are new trees that will need weekly watering, and there is ride on mower, but mowing probably won't be necessary in a 2 week period.
