About this house sitting position in Leominster

House/Pet sitter for our rambling, rural home but most importantly, for our dogs for the last week in October (dates flexible between 26/10- 04/11), and also for a week in December from Sunday 14th to 21st.
Our home is located on our working family farm.
We are a married couple with 3 grown up sons who have now all flown the nest but all live in Herefordshire. We are left with 3 Springer Spaniels ranging from 5 to 12 years and a 16 year old Jack Russell plus a very tolerant and self sufficient cat! Our lovely rural home is surrounded by our fields and orchards but well away from the road and main farm buildings.
We have a charming period home in a very peaceful location with a lovely garden set amongst the fields of the family farm. The main farm buildings are a 10 minute walk away and totally separate from our home. The house is roomy, relaxed and comfortable. If you enjoy tranquil surroundings and want to immerse yourself in country living then this is just the place but you probably need to be a handy, outdoor type to cope with the mud, dogs and fire wood.
We have an electric Aga but also a Ninja oven and microwave, if you prefer, plus a larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher and all the usual kitchen equipment you would expect. The usual supermarkets deliver here.
Experience of using a woodburner and tolerance of the quirks of an old, draughty property would definitely be an advantage in the winter but there is plenty of hot water and a big bath for a post walk soak!
We don't have superfast broadband but the wi-fi is more than adequate for streaming,Teams meetings etc, if you work from home.
We are located in beautiful Herefordshire close to both the Shropshire and Worcestershire borders and under an hour from the Welsh Brecon Beacons. Plenty of walking, cosy pubs, picturesque market towns and local history and culture are nearby. Let us know what youre interested in and we can supply details.
The main farm has excellent livery facilities and arena hire so this house/dog sit may also suit a horse owner looking to get away (further details on request).
We also have a self contained annex which we are looking to let in the future.
Nearest shops Leominster and Tenbury Wells 5 miles, Ludlow 10 miles so a car is essential. Nearest pub 1 mile (walkable).
It's all about the dogs!
Let our 4 dogs show you round their favourite woods, fields and swimming spots (no leads required!) and keep them fed and watered and provide company and kindness. No farm work required as someone else will be looking after all the cattle and sheep. Read more...
