About this house sitting position in Llanfairfechan
I am looking for someone to sit with my 4 tibetan terriers. Cassie (white) is 12, our 'old lady' and a little slower now than she used to be. Dora is 6 and a 'lockdown pup' so can be wary of new people but very loving and sweet. The other 2 are coming up to 2 years old, Honey and Bambi, both loving and gorgeous pups, Bambi gets herself stressed with strangers.
Our home is an old 3 storey victorian place, only a few seconds walk from the beach here on the North Wales coast.
I need someone who loves dogs and who will commit to spending most of the time with them, (or take them out with you), not leaving them for longer than an hour or two max, at a time, as they are used to us working from home and always being here.
The house : A fairly new and modern kitchen with a double range. There's a small wc/sink area off the kitchen, on the ground floor. We also have a lounge with a big smart TV and an office with the usual all important wifi. Upstairs there's a small sitting room with big TV, that's used by my granddaughter for gaming, then up another flight and there's a double bedroom, then the main superking bedroom, a small shower room with toilet. Up again and another king double, the utility area with washer and dryer, and a bathroom with bath.
Outside we have a lovely sunny garden with comfortable furniture - we often set up our laptops and work outside when the weather is good. There's also a drive where we park, a garage (full of freezer, lawn mower and STUFF) and a greenhouse.
In the garden too we have a cottage that we rent out. I mention this because I'm aware that if a sitter is coming to explore North Wales and I'm asking them to stay in most of the time, then it's only fair to say I will be happy to offer you a separate week during 2026 or even a couple of days before / after our own holiday, when you can stay independently in the cottage and do your exploring then, so that the dogs aren't left alone when we're away. The cottage is small though, and only sleeps 2 in one bedroom.
The area itself is lovely, on the edges of Snowdonia National Park, 10 mins from Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. The village here has a Co-op, a butcher, an Indian takeaway and a fish n chip shop, there's also a cafe out on the seafront, only a minute away from the house although opening times may be limited when it's out of season.
It's a small and quiet village, lovely for walking or taking in the views and fresh air. If you are wanting to party this isn't the place for you. In addition you need to be aware that our dogs do get comfortable on the furniture, Bambi sleeps on my bed and Dora and Honey sleep at the top of the house on my daughter's bed - if this upsets or offends you, then please don't apply.
