About this house sitting position in Madehurst Arundel

A decent sized cottage on the South downs between Arundel and Chichester we are footsteps away from lots of walks in the woods and up on to the Downs. Lovely views and a nice garden with places to sit. We have all usual facilities and the guest room is ensuite. We have a comfortable conservatory which is usable all year round - which over looks the garden and the woods beyond and tends to be where we spend a lot of time and previous dog sitters have really enjoyed. Although a 3 floor house - actually there is no need to access the top floor. We have a log burner and central heating etc.

We have a 6 year old standard wired Dachshund and a 14 year old rather tubby cat. The dog is friendly, but a bit bossy. The dog and cat get on ok . The garden is large and dog proof

There is a lot to do in the area, places to visit and there are local farm shops 2 miles away and a very smart expensive restaurant within 5 mins walk, but you can also just have a drink or light ish bite, not dog friendly indoors but the terrace is . Lots of other places an eat a drink a short drive away. The dog can be left for 2 to 3 hours and some days longer if cleaner or gardener are around. The house is 10 mins in car to lots of nice shops etc Small friendly village lots of help on hand if needed.. cricket club bar opens most Friday Nights.

We tend to suggest arriving the night before and we organise a local hotel, hence the we actually travel on the on the 15th so it allows for a bit of time to show you around before we go. We will provide plenty of information. If you are not coming too far happy to meet before hand somewhere mutually convenient.

There is no public transport so a car is essential for this position. Read more...
