About this house sitting position in Nutley
URGENT! We are looking for a house sitter for our 4 chickens for 7 days/6 nights, from March 27th to April 3rd.
Our 4 hens (Willow, Cracker, Strawberry and Peperina) are cherished and loved pets. They are 2 years old. Their small coop needs a quick clean every day, which takes about 5 minutes. The coop is made of plastic, so it's an easy job.
In the morning we let them out of their run into the garden, and in the evening (or whenever we are not at home) we close them in their run. They can be left free-ranging in the garden only if you are at home and are available to keep an eye (and an ear) on them from time to time. They will squawk if there's something wrong (they squawked the other day when they saw a cat trying to get into the garden).
When you are not at home, they need to be closed in their run. The hens will follow you, so it's an easy job to put them in their run. They are quite funny and lovely animals.
Our bungalow is in Nutley, a small village between Uckfield and Forest Row, in the Area of Outstanding Beauty of the High Weald. We absolutely love this area, it's peaceful, beautiful and there are so many walks around here, even starting from the house. There are also 2 restaurants less than 5-minute walk away (La Casa, Italian, and Haathi, Indian).
We moved here in October. The bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 and a fully-equipped kitchen. The bedroom you will sleep in has a very comfortable organic king mattress. There is a small office you are welcome to use, next to the kitchen. The lounge has TV, a piano and a guitar. There is parking on our driveway.
There is Netflix/Prime Video/Disney Plus and WiFi. We will provide towels and sheets, and everything will be clean.
There bus 261 running through the village at regular times (East Grinstead-Uckfield).
There is a big pond in the garden, so this housesit is not recommended for people with small children. Read more...
