About this house sitting position in Prudhoe

Our quiet detached Northumberland home is on the edge of a rural small town in a beautiful spot, set in its own large garden in the spectacular Tyne Valley. It’s home to the two of us and our dog Egon and Norwegian Forest cat Thora.
They’re well behaved and lovely and they love each other. There’s a nice garden and sun room along with 2 large comfy reception rooms with log burners.
There are gorgeous walks all around. We’re also only 20 minutes from Newcastle and Hexham, both fabulous places with plenty for all interests. Hadrian’s Wall is nearby and the beautiful riverside path at the bottom of our small town is peaceful, gorgeous and full of nature, plus there are stunning walks in the fields immediately behind the house.
Egon is an old, large dog, who still loves his gentle walk twice a day and ball but needs less exercise now his back legs are stiff. He had a tablet twice a day for his joints. Thora cat stays indoors at all times and has an outdoor enclosed catio. She’s an older girl now and lived a cuddle and belly rub but also likes her own space.
We would really like to get away on a longer holiday in early January and would love to find loving care at home for our 2. Egon prefers company but can be left for up to 2-3 hours a day.
Our garden will look after itself at this time of year but we do have a self-sufficient aim/ attitude and our various raised beds will have some produce to enjoy. Read more...
