About this house sitting position in Rotherfield

Tinkerbell the cat is 8 years old and lives with her male & female 'staff' in a comfortable end-terraced Victorian cottage with garden. There is a single bedroom for a sitter on 1st floor with adjoining bathroom (shower/bath). Ideally Tinkerbell would like a mature, capable single lady (she likes them more than men!) as cat & house sitter.

She is a rescued neutered female Persian Chinchilla cat who is basically an indoor cat, going out occasionally into a secure garden but only under close supervision.
The sitter would ideally be familiar with long haired cat breeds and able to groom them effectively on a daily basis, although Tinkerbell is not always very co-operative!

Potential sitters need to know Tinkerbell can be very reserved and may not wish to interact with them much. She has never been a lap-cat and can and does object to grooming quite forcefully. Our main concern is that she eats and drinks and uses her tray. If she spends much of her time under a bed or ignoring the sitter that's just how she is!!

A sitter is needed for the dates stated in September/October 2025 (our flights are arranged) as well as possibly a week or so before end March 2026. Tinkerbell would love to meet someone suitable and looks forward to hearing from you if you fit the bill! The house has a sunroom, gas central heating, broadband internet and Sky TV which the sitter is welcome to use. There is also a pleasant garden to relax in.

Parking is in the road outside the house. There is a General store and Post Office within walking distance in the village as well as 2 pubs and a pharmacy. Nearby Crowborough is well-served with supermarkets and other shops. Tunbridge Wells is also within easy driving distance. Read more...
