About this house sitting position in Ware

Hi I'm Rachel. I'm a children's speech and language therapist looking for a sitter for my one bedroom flat in Ware, Hertfordshire, with lots of plants and one nervous but affectionate cat called Chia.

Chia is very sweet and loving, but needs time and patience to build a relationship. She is a rescue so can be very jumpy, but never aggressive. Once you both settle in, she will be sitting on the bed next to you after a couple of nights, and by night 3 she'll be waking you up for attention and sitting on your lap wondering what all the fuss was about! She will get in your personal space (as cats do!) but similarly is fine left for the day if you want to make the most of the surrounding area.

Because of her slow burn temperament, an experienced cat owner is required. She is indoor only and uses a litter tray which will require daily cleaning.

My flat is in a rural town in Hertfordshire so is peaceful but well connected. A few minutes walking distance to cafes, supermarket, lots of pubs, country walks (river is basically on the doorstep) and an outdoor swimming pool. There isn't a garden, but there's a sunny shared courtyard with benches or spots along the river to enjoy being outside.

My flat is right next to the train station where there's direct trains to London every 30 mins, which takes 30 mins to Tottenham Hale (tube station) or 45 mins to London Liverpool Street (central London).

It's not a big home, but plenty of space for 1 person + Chia. It is not recommended for a couple and no children or other pets. There is fast WiFi + desk which converts into a standing desk option+ monitor to work from home, and all the standard things you may need to use for a longer stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine and a secure parking space.
