About this house sitting position in Woking

I live in a comfortable three-bedroom house on a small hill with lovely views over Woking and the surrounding woodland. Sitters have their own bedroom, along with access to a bathroom, downstairs living area, dining space and WC.
There's a small park just down the road that's perfect for a short stroll, and the village centre is only a few minutes' walk away via a handy shortcut.
I do ask that sitters have their own car. While there are bus services locally, public transport isn't particularly convenient. Woking station is around 10 minutes by car, but can take close to an hour by bus. Having a car is also helpful should a vet visit ever be needed during the sit.
Duds is a very easy-going cat and has a microchip cat flap, so he can come and go as he pleases. He's friendly, chatty and enjoys having people around. He's not overly cuddly, although in winter he may decide your lap is the best place to be! He loves interaction, playtime and company, so I'm looking for someone who'll be around for much of the day. Popping out for a few hours is absolutely fine, but I don't leave him on his own overnight.
The practical side of the sit is very straightforward. There are a few plants to water once a week, and the bins just need putting out on collection day.
My usual process is to arrange a quick video call before confirming a sit so we can chat through the details and make sure it's a good fit for everyone. Once agreed, I'll send over a welcome guide with everything you'll need to know about the house, Duds, plant care and bin collections.
Overall, it's a relaxed, low-maintenance sit in a peaceful location with a lovely feline companion Read more...
