About this house sitting position in Yateley Common

Introduction
We are looking for a pet & house-sitter
From 12th - 20th September 2025, If possible to arrive 1 or 2 days before , so we can give you an introduction to the house and show you around the local area & walks.
You would be looking after Finn our 1yr old Black Labrador, and Paris our 3yr old Black & White Long Haired Cat.
We live in a cottage c1900, situated on a rural common, which is part of a 500 acre Site of Special Scientific Interest, between Fleet & Camberley.
The House has three large double bedrooms, Large sitting room with woodburner,separate dining room, Modern kitchen with Aga, plus separate electric ovens & gas hob.
A third of an acre garden surrounds the house giving access onto the common for great walking.

Our Home & Location
As mentioned, the house is surrounded by Common land and Woods, Ideal for walking, lots of public footpaths, bridalways, ponds & lakes,throughout the SSSI.
Our garden surrounds the house,bordered by hedges & trees, keeping it a peacefull haven for birds & wildlife. The house is at the end of an un-tarmacked road across the common.
Local shops & pubs are within walking distance, although we would recommend that you have a car. We may sound isolated but we are only a 5 min drive from one of the largest Marks & Spencers in the UK who share a site with Tesco, all of the other main supermarkets are within a 10min drive from the house, as are our nearest towns Camberley, Hartley Witney & Fleet, which has a fast train service into London 40min, plus easy access to the M3 Junc 4 or 4a.
A bit about us: we have lived here very happily for over 20 years, both in our 60's now retired. Finally the house is equipped with, Internet,Hi-Speed Wi-Fi, Oled4KTV, Sky Q, Netflix & Amazon Prime.

Responsibilities & Pets
We have a one year old Labrador, Finn, who I normally walk 3 - 4 times a day, First one after breakfast, next early afternoon, then a short one before dinner and last of all, a quick once around the pond before bedtime. He has two meals per day Morning & Evening around 6pm. He's also happy to be left for several hours, without fretting.
The Cat, Paris is 3yrs, she tends to spend most of the day in the Garden & wanders in and out as she pleases, 2
meals a day, (left where the dog can't eat the cat food) she will help herself as required.
Otherwise general good care of our home and keep the (wild) bird feeders filled.
Our cleaner comes once a week & will do ironing if required, she and her partner are also close by in case of any problem with the property. Read more...
