About this house sitting position in York

We are looking for a Non smoking house sitter for a 4 year old black male labrador & a lovely indoor house cat Mr sox whilst we go away on holiday at xmas 2026 for about 3 weeks we are looking to go on 12/13th December & returning on the 2 nd january 2027 , we have a lovely 2 bed & 2 bathroom cottage with a small court yard & 2 log burners a range cooker & dishwasher . The village we live in is wonderful near christmas , we have carols on the green a steam organ on the village green with mulled wine , a xmas tractor run & a new year’s day duck race .We are a 15 min drive from beverley / 40 mins from york & 20 mins from Hull ,
Merlot loves his walks , but can be left all for the day if you want to explore , i also have relations in the village who would happily pop by to let him out for a pee if this was prior arranged . Mr Sox loves cuddles & he generally spends his day curled up on a bed or on the chair next to the log burner .
