About this house sitting position in Nutley

Hello! We are going to Italy for a wedding and we need someone reliable and trustworthy to take care of our pets.

We have 1 small dog named Chocolino, who is a small poodle-cross and will be 1 year old at the time of the house sitting. We also have 4 hens, and their names are Willow, Cracker, Peperina and Strawberry.

Dog duties: Chocolino is a funny and loving dog. He needs a 45min/1h walk in the morning, and a 5/10min walk in the evening. He needs feeding once in the morning and once in the evening. He eats raw meat, which we keep in the freezer and can be defrosted as needed.

Chicken duties: The hens are quite independent pets, funny and lovely. When we wake up in the morning, we let them out of their run, so that they can free-range. When evening comes (or when we are not at home), we close them inside the run. The hens will follow you, so it's an easy job to put them in their run. The every-day cleaning takes less than 5 minutes. They will squawk if there's something wrong.

Our bungalow is in Nutley, a small village between Uckfield and Forest Row, in the Area of Outstanding Beauty of the High Weald. We absolutely love this area, it's peaceful, beautiful and there are so many walks around here, straight from the house. There are 2 restaurants less than 5-minute walk away (La Casa, Italian, and Haathi, Indian). There is a tennis club just next to the house, if you're into playing tennis! There is also a basic shop walking distance.

The bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge and conservatory and a fully-equipped kitchen. The bedroom you will sleep in has a very comfortable organic king mattress. There is a small office you are welcome to use, next to the kitchen. The lounge has TV, a piano and a guitar. There is parking on our driveway.

The house will be left very clean and tidy for the house-sitter, with clean sheets and towels. The house-sitter is very welcome to use the basic kitchen staples during their stay.

There is normal TV and also Apple Tv with Netflix etc.

There are 2 buses running through the village at regular times, the 261 (East Grinstead-Uckfield) and the 500, but the house-sitter should ideally have a car.

There is a big garden which is mostly occupied by a pond, so this housesit is not recommended for people with young children. The bungalow is very peaceful and relaxing. Everything will be left super clean for the house sitter and we can be contacted on our phones at any time.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT OUR AREA
Nutley is located within the High Weald AONB. From our house, you can go on infinite walks. There are two restaurants and a small shop very close to the house, and a beautiful tea-room 10-mins drive away (or 50mins-walk). Tumbridge Wells is 20mins away and Brighton 30mins.
