We are a conscientious couple with a shared love of animals, nature and travel. We are clean, honest, respectful adults who like to laugh like kids and remain young at heart! We enjoy many activities together: board games, rock climbing, pub quizzes, yoga, sacred geometry, and plant-based cooking. Gem is diagnosed coeliac, so we are naturally very attentive and detail-oriented in our cooking, house-sitting and general lives!

We have both been loving pet owners and international house-sitters. We've cared for animals with mobility issues, blindness, history of trauma, and experienced a range of timid, quirky, or diva personalities. Gem also has previous experience with wildlife rescue, care and rehabilitation. ♡

Housesitting connects us with fellow animal-lovers and gives us a meaningful opportunity to practise being pet parents with the added bonus of satisfying our travel bug.

Gem is an ESL teacher and a yoga instructor for children and adults. She has a fantastical imagination, a keen eye for detail, and is a happy introvert. Gem enjoys mental stimulation by learning languages, solving puzzles, or creating digital content for mindful and holistic education.

Alex previously worked in logistics, but followed a calling to increase his inner world that led him to meditation practices in the Himalayas, hammocks by lotus ponds, and bamboo shacks by rice paddies. He has worked as a teacher in Vietnam since 2017, most recently as an English and science teacher at an international primary school.
