Hello, I’m 62yr old retired civil servant. I’m married with 2 elderly greyhounds and budgie. We have 4 adult boys and 6 grandchildren, with more to come. My husband and I hope to travel extensively and spontaneously once our existing animals have reached the rainbow bridge and my husband has fully retired. In the meantime I am going to house sit alone and hopefully build a good review profile and to get into the swing of things so as we can hit the ground running, so to speak. We have rescued 8 greyhounds, ended up rescuing the more difficult ones and those that no one else wanted. I’m used to separation anxiety, timidity, aggression towards other breeds or even their own breeds, fussy eaters, animals that need medicating.
I have looked after neighbours, friends and mother-in-laws cats and until this didn’t realise how much character they have and have also grown to love them.
I have grown up with birds and love their characteristics also, basically I love all animals. I’m happy to look after all other types of animals/reptiles as long as comprehensive specific are instructions left. Sorry but I’m not confident with horses or rats. We have employed paid house sitters in the past for our animals. I loved the peace of mind that they were in their own home and well looked after, with daily updates if wanted. I totally understand the entire process. We own our own home also have a rental property. I am very respectful, responsible, with loads of common sense towards all aspects of this undertaking. Especially your beloved pets, property and possessions. I would treat all these as I would do my own (probably better 😂 ). Read more...
