More information about this house sitter
Hi, I'm Ty!
I am a 29-year-old (F) remote professional originally from Perth, Western Australia, currently spending extended time in the UK.
I am very fortunate to have job that allows me to work remotely, so I have decided to take the leap and live abroad for an extended period to explore more of this side of the world, with potential to see if maybe it will become home. As I hold both an Australian and British passport, I’m able to take my time exploring, and have a preference for supporting home and pet owners with longer-term sits as I really value being able to have a stable home-base to balance work and properly experience day-to-day life in each place I visit. While I love travel, that sense of feeling at home in a new place is something I love - and nothing makes a house feel more like a home for me than our pets.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew around dogs, cats, horses, and many other animals, and have always derived a lot of fulfilment from working with them and learning about how we can be the best guardians we can be for them. I have always had very high-need working dogs of my own and have always been the primary trainer, even being "work experience" between the ages of 10-12 by the vets that ran puppy school after they were very impressed with m then-pup, Ted. That work experience continues to be one of the most special things I've experienced and something I often find myself drawing on in my care of my own and other's animals.
I’ve long been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, friends-of-friends and colleagues, and am honoured to be trusted by so many with their beloved animals. I am very passionate about animal welfare, training, nutrition, and breed-specific fulfilment, I’m confident caring for pets of all different ages, sizes, temperaments, routines, and needs, including high-energy dogs, rescue animals, senior pets, pets during key developmental/behavioural shifts, pets with varying medical needs or pre-post op, being able to adapt to their needs to provide calm, consistent and loving care. Working from home and having flexible work hours allows me to spend lots of time with your pets, and adapt my schedule around their needs, so they will always have plenty of company, affection and enrichment, and we can work out the details together on how to make this a great experience for all involved.
I’m naturally home-oriented, tidy, respectful, and very mindful that homeowners are trusting someone not only with their pets, but with their home and daily life. As a homeowner myself and someone who has also hosted sitters/travellers, I know first hand how important and valuable it is to be able to trust someone with the care of our homes and animals. If you don't have pets and are seeking support with home/garden maintenance, this is also something I enjoy, and could even discuss assisting with some home organisation/interior design projects while you're away too.
My aim is always to make sure your home and pets feel safe, loved, and settled, and that you can truly relax knowing your home is being well cared for.
I can be reasonably flexible with dates and work any actual travel plans I may have around stays, so appreciate the opportunity to work out the details with each other in advance. Read more...
