I'm relocating to the York area. I am seeking for myself and would welcome something longer term so that I can find somewhere to settle and not have a big commute.

However, I may be able to consider some other areas

I've done some home and pet sitting for friends, and went back a few times, so I hope that shows that they were happy. I enjoy being with animals of all kinds, and am very caring, and like to be company, not just feeding them.

I would like to check with pet parents about the number and type to ensure we're best fit.

I am respectful of others' privacy and space - I'd like that to be mutual, with no internal CCTV

I am nonsmoking.

It would need to be somewhere that I can access without a car, and a neighbourhood in which I feel safe.

If I'm just looking after a home without other major responsibilities, then I would agree that no payment is exchanged on either side, including for bills; but if I am having responsibility for animals, especially those who need regular care and which limit what I can do, then I do ask a fee. As a guide, cats and rodents would be about £15 a day, but dogs would be more.

I don't offer gardening beyond brief and basic watering, nor cleaning (beyond returning your home to the state I found it in) - these services are for other professionals. Please bear in mind what the alternative to sitters would cost.


At present, I'm seeking for the immediate and shorter term future. I would be happy to speak with, or if practical, meet with home owners and any critters before on a mutual no-obligation basis
