More information about this house sitter
Hello, my name is Katerina, a global traveller, mental health specialist and deeply compassionate steward of homes and lives I am invited into. I have dedicated life to the care and respect of all living beings. From shy rescues to high-energy companions ... humans and animals naturally gravitate toward my peaceful and caring presence. And I offer more than just a service; I offer a soulful connection that ensures your home remains a place of harmony and your furry members of your family feel entirely at home in my company.
As a lifelong traveller (with curiosity about life), I observe that every home has a rhythm and every living being has a unique soul. My approach to housesitting goes beyond basic care; I focus on creating a sanctuary of stability and deep emotional rapport for your home and its companions while you are away. Whether I am navigating a new corner of the globe or stepping into your living room, I find that most living beings - from the most spirited to the most shy and sensitive - are naturally drawn to my calm and loving energy. I pride myself on truly seeing and respecting the nature of every living being, ensuring your pets feel understood and your home remains a place of perfect harmony.
I am a single female ( recently returned from professional and personal year-long pursuit in New Zealand ) and now I have the gift of freedom ( without dependants, or diverting appointments ) to discover new places, meet new faces and invest my time and caring efforts into the right-fitting environment / furry companions whilst I continue to care for my human patients virtually (so a solid internet would be important for me 🙏🏻❣️).
I am London-based (for 18years) and very much welcome an opportunity to get away / retreat and do what I love the most - love and care for life.
I am brand new to TH, currently on my second 3-week "caring assignment" but I do have a lot of experience privately through friends and acquaintances and all sorts of life situations (that allows me to be of service to others), so I can offer a number of references for your peace of mind.
My life’s philosophy is built upon a profound respect and love for all living beings, a quality that defines how I move through the world and interact with every creature I get to meet.
As an experienced psychotherapist, my professional skills go hand-in-hand with my caretaking. This background allows me to:
• observe and understand: I appreciate the unique nature and personality of every living being, recognising that animals - much like humans - have their own emotional language and needs;
• build rapid rapport: I have a natural gift for creating a sense of safety. Whether it’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, a fearful pigeon, or even the quiet living energy of a garden, living beings are naturally drawn to mine, and we tend to build a deep bond of trust quietly and profoundly;
• provide calm stability: I offer a caring, peaceful presence that helps pets feel secure and loved while their humans are away.
My travels around the globe have been defined by this pull toward connection. No matter where I am in the world, I find myself building friendships with the local flora and fauna.
To me, "home" is wherever there is a life to care for and a mutual friendship to nurture. I treat every home with the utmost respect and every pet as a kindred-spirit.
The photos I’ve included in my gallery show some of the versatility of my friendships, capturing the genuine, joyful connections I've shared with a wide variety of things and living beings across different environments. Read more...
