More information about this house sitter
I'm a semi-retired philosopher in my fifties. I've been brought-up with dogs & cats since a very young child and can now relate to them very well (even pets with so-called behavioural problems). Think of a Mary Poppins version of pet-sitter though with a better sense of humour! I'm writing a comedy-philosophy book at the moment (for Oxford University Press) so just looking for a (relatively) quiet space over the next two years to write-up my notes but with good breaks of outdoor exercise. I often look after my parents & family friends' houses & pets (usually dogs) so as long as the latter's usual routine is spelt out clearly (especially with older animals) then we can no doubt develop a good 'plan of action'! (I'm booked for most of June but will probably be available from July 1st). I usually charge £20 per day for stays of two weeks or less but happy to negotiate a lesser sum for longer periods of time or if you're (to use a phrase Mary Poppins certainly wouldn't approve of...) 'a little skint'. Finally, I'm happy to provide references if needed.
