We’re Elisa and Dominic,

Here is some more information about us by way of introduction.

ABOUT US
We have been housesitting via word of mouth for over 15 years.

Recently we have joined a number of housesitting platforms. So while we’re new to advertising ourselves as Housesitters we’re certainly not newbies to housesitting.

We have lots of independent reviews and recommendations by other home owners for whom we have maintained property and cared for their pets. We have included just a few of them at the end.

In addition we also have 450 reviews on our Airbnb listing:

So here are the basics!

. We usually live in the UK in Central London
· We’ve been a couple for over 42 years (married for 39 of them) and yes we still enjoy working and having new adventures together!
. We have five children now grown up and flown the nest who are all pursuing their working careers in London
. We hold EU and UK passports.
(As a married couple travelling together we are able to obtain Visas permitting us to stay in the EU for as long as necessary.)
In 2010 we became early uptakers of Airbnb and have been ‘superhosts’ hosting hundreds of B&B guests over the years in our Central London home.
. When our kids were young we undertook many homeswaps via homeforexchange with families from all over the world - so we’re very comfortable and long term members of the ‘reciprocal respect and trusting community’
. We are both physically very fit and active.
Elisa is a yoga instructor in London and together we have run many residential yoga retreats both overseas and in the UK.
. Dom holds a professional yachtmaster certification and has run sailing holidays and undertaken yacht deliveries and relocation for owners
. We share a relaxed ‘Can-Do’ attitude and have plenty of initiative
. A Sense of Humour
. We both enjoy gardening and have professional experience working on decorating and renovation projects both indoors and outside.
. For the past 15 years we have grown produce on our allotment in Fulham.
. We share a keen interest in living in the different countries, environments and cultures.
. Over the past 20 years we have undertaken housesits and house swaps in France, Spain, Canary Islands, Portugal, UK, Greece, USA and Italy.
· Love the outdoors
. Over the years we have had our own dog, Peggy (a border collie rescued from an Exmoor sheep farmer), cat Harry (former resident at Battersea dogs home) and other pets including Talulah our tortoise (who sadly escaped from our neighbours garden when we were away on holiday), James Bond and Sophie the hamsters and Jasper Carrot the rabbit.
. We have also had plenty of experience looking after other people’s beloved pets and livestock (chickens, donkeys, goats, cows and ducks)
. We both have clean driving licences, and no criminal history (police checked)
. Covid-19 quadruple vaccinated, non-smoking


MAINTENANCE & HOME IMPROVEMENTS OFFERED
Aside from being a professional yacht skipper, Dom also does home renovations, maintenance and decorating, when in London. So in addition to house and pet sitting, when it's been requested (and by separate agreement), we have organised seasonal repair work, provided ongoing home maintenance and undertaken home improvements or redecorating that the owners need doing.

SOME REFERENCES

To whom it may concern:

Elisa and Dom have come to us on two occasions now - this summer for a couple of weeks and then again after Christmas for two weeks. I can more than guarantee that they are both completely trustworthy and reliable and above all were completely amazing looking after our two spaniels. One of them is rather ancient now and needs lots of care and the other just needs lots of walks and attention, typical of their breed. They seemed to slip into our lives seamlessly and also were very good checking our six Dexter cows each day. They live up to their names of Practical Housesitters and seem completely unfazed by events that crop up. They were extremely respectful of our home and were very good communicators with us over anything that needed dealing with. They were also very happy to do any small tasks that we would normally do at home.

They are coming back to us for two weeks in March.

Simply the best house sitters

If Elisa and Dominic answer your house sit notice, you are lucky, and should immediately confirm them to come. Ours was a simple two week caretaker need for our black kitty and some plants in Provence while we were gone. Dom and Elisa arrived in good spirits after a long August car trip from Spain, and immediately understood the house, the kitty and what they could do to help. We went over everything and I left early the next day feeling totally confident they could take care of whatever came up. We texted most every day, I could see from the photos they sent that the kitty loved them. In one he was even on the yoga mat with Elisa which is super unlike this usually stand-offish cat. Dominic repaired a few items for us, the plants never looked better. They made friends with the neighbors and got very interested in olive oil, a product of our region, leaving us a wonderful bottle of oil along with wine from Luberon. When we got home, the house was sparkling clean, the outdoor spaces in beautiful condition and the cat had a shiny smooth fur coat which showed good care and love. I felt their excellent presence and good spirit for days after, and highly recommend them. They are professional, totally trustworthy and lovely people to know. Jeannette Rosenblum

Dom and Elisa have been regular house sitters for us in two properties over the last few years. I have always been very impressed with their professionalism and commitment to arrive, manage the property and leave it in better shape for our return! They are a proactive and diligent partnership who take responsibility of our properties to make both practical and proactive improvements. These tasks range from decorating, fixing basic plumbing, re-laying decking, caring for gardens and plants and property deep cleans. They are both personable and practical and extremely solution focused, providing fast communication and regular updates. They provide a high standard of maintenance and cleanliness and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

To Whom It May Concern,
If you’re reading this you may be considering whether or not to have Elisa and Dominic Willimas stay in your house, to look after your pets, garden, property or all three. If so, could I encourage you to do just that.
Elisa and Dom have stayed in my house on numerous occasions, and fed our pets, tended lovingly to our garden and kept the house secure and clean. They even managed to do some DIY that needed doing while we weren’t there.
On a practical level I think they are the best house sitters you will ever find. But that’s not why I think you should have them look after your house. They also have what so many people don’t - good souls.
I have known Dom and Elisa for about 18 years, and they are the kindest, most lovely people; they are honest and open hearted and treat people like they would like to be treated. If there were more people in the world like them the world would be a better place.

HOUSE SITTING REFERENCE ELISA AND DOMINIC WILLIAMS

I have know both Elisa and Dom for many years and both are loyal friends , reliable and trustworthy in all respects …
Two years ago they kindly accepted my request to House Sit my property in Nikithiano, Crete for 6 weeks to keep clean and ‘lived in’ until I began renting it out on Air BnB ….
This included airing the house , keeping the garden in good condition , small repairs if needed etc..
During this time there was an unseasonably amount of rainfall and the ground floor became flooded , the roof was leaking and some pipes burst …
Both Elisa and Dom managed to organise and fix repairs and I was incredibly grateful that they were there
Nothing seemed to much trouble and they went above and beyond what was expected and I would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely couple to anyone wishing to place their property in their capable hands
They are caring and trustworthy , security conscious , and totally reliable
