After 33 years nursing and through COVID too, I am sure you can understand my desire for a BIG change in lifestyle. To this end, I have handed in my notice and will be free as a bird from mid September 2022. My children are at university/in an apprenticeship and so life is now freer in that way too.

My lovely partner, Howie, is a big people person having written and delivered training courses in professional development for large companies: he is retired.

We both like dogs in particular and have a sweet little dog Rosie, who is now 14 and a Jack Russell- Border Terrier cross. She was the pet of one of my patients (I have been district nursing for the past 9 years) who as he got more unwell worried about what would happen to her. Well, my mouth engaged before my brain and I told him not to worry, that I would take care of her. 18 months later he died and I kept to my word. She is the first pet I have ever had and has brought so much love into the home. Now I understand why people say they are part of the family and are heartbroken when they loose them.

We do not smoke and very rarely drink. We both drive. Read more...
