I’m a friendly and reliable sitter and very community spirited. I like meeting people and love caring for animals too. This includes dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, pond life and reptiles. Since retiring I have taken up writing. I edit the local village magazine (I live in Nottinghamshire). I enjoy a change of scene and seeing other parts of the UK.
I have looked after friend’s houses and their pets when they’ve gone away on holidays. Most people describe me as sociable, capable and dependable but with a sense of fun. I leave another person’s space in a good order. and I am a non smoker. I like going on dog walks (usually about 3 to 5 miles) and would be sensitive to older dogs that have conditions, who may require a gentler pace and shorter strolls. But equally happy to cope with those who have more energetic needs. I have a small whippet; she rarely barks and is totally friendly towards other dogs and cats. I have had her since a pup and she is well socialised and has manners around other dogs. So that’s “the package” or the team. If you think I can help you let me know.
