More information about this house sitter

After almost 40 yrs working in education, I have recently retired and am looking for new adventures. I would enjoy combining my love of walking with exploring new places. I'm looking forward to discovering new towns/villages/tea-shops and pubs. A slice of cake while chatting to some locals would be an added bonus.
I would be respectful of your home and belongings and, of course, be a friend to your pets. I'm used to dogs and cats and willing to get to know other pets as required. I would like you to be able to enjoy your time away, secure in the knowledge that your home and pets are in good hands.
I have been a home owner for 35 years and have lived in a range of properties from flats to detached houses. I am happy to water plants etc but wouldn't describe myself as a gardener.
While happy to house-sit by myself, I have a friend who would sometimes like to join me to enjoy walks in a new area.
