I have 18 years experience caring for other folks' homes & pets, even including a few sheep and turkeys. I've also loved having my own dogs and cats all my life.
I look forward to providing you with a worry-free time away from your "Home Sweet Home". Most of the families I have housesat for are repeat clients that I've had for many years; that's like having my own extended family of pets, basically😉
I would love house & petsit opportunities in the UK! I’ve felt a serious kinship with the UK all my life, and I first visited in 1991. I only recently discovered that my DNA is more than 85% UK (all 4 countries) so I especially love going back again!
In 2019-2020 I was able to houseit for several homes in England and Scotland from December til March when the Covid-19 lockdown curtailed those engagements. I isolated in the Midlands of England until early July when I was able to return home.
In 2022, I went back to the UK to housesit in northern Scotland for several months; I was also able to revisit one of my favorite housesits (in Norfolk, England) to housesit for several weeks...the pets remembered me immediately! So sweet to be there again!
I take pride in being very responsible, hard-working and experienced at a wide variety of indoor/outdoor tasks. During my official work life, I had jobs in business, academia, free-lance proofreading and not-for-profits, as well as home health & hospice training and elder-companion experience, I am a knitter, gardener, bookworm, and constant student in areas of alternative health. I have posted several long-term house/petsit references as well as my full work history and volunteering experience, etc.
I'll take loving care of your homespace, gardens, pets and plants while you're away, and leave it neat & tidy for your return. I would also enjoy exploring the surrounding area, such as walks and local points of interest.
