More information about this house sitter

An ex-serviceman (25 years service which ended in 1995) who retired in April 2018 after working for 23 years with a Voluntary Youth Organisation. Animal lover, non-smoker.

I am currently touring the UK in a 24-foot motorhome for the next couple of years (which needs to be parked as close as possible to any house sitting I undertake).

I have owned my own homes but now my home is my 'van'. I am an animal lover who has looked after dogs (Springer Spaniels, Staffordshire Crosses, Doberman, Collie, Labradors and a 75kg Leonberger), I have also looked after cats - all in locations such as The Wirral, Norfolk, Suffolk, Devon, Dorset, Shropshire, East and West Midlands, South Ayrshire, Aberdeenshire and Leicestershire. Available for stays anywhere in the UK from 1 week upwards - but will consider shorter sits (weekends etc). I love walking especially in the quieter areas.

I was asked if i would do 2 sits in Western Australia from the beginning of January to mid March 2020, an experience I could not pass and thoroughly enjoyed, but a week after my return to the UK we were in lock down due to the global pandemic, I was very lucky to be able to stay with a lovely family in Norfolk for the duration - this was with the family of my very first 'sit' in 2018.

In essence, I do not have any building or gardening skills, but I can help maintain a garden and house and I am willing to tackle most things.

The first picture is a pre-arranged meeting, two months prior to the required dates, with Aslan (a Leonberger) so that he could get to know me and vice versa; as well as to let the family form their own opinions prior to my house sitting.
